About

I was born in Koria, Finland, during the middle of a cold winter. I try not to complain about the cold, because I love the snow. To me, after a day in the snow, there is nothing like the comforting feeling of sitting on the couch after a relaxing Finnish sauna and drinking hot tea from one of your favorite cup.

I create tableware that expresses my sense of humor. I make objects for every day use. My designs are inspired by cakes, candy and cookies. I am inspired by puns, rhymes and bad jokes. My designs are influenced by ordinary daily routines, silly mistakes and embarrassing moments.

I work with commercially manufactured porcelain and I use slip casting technique to produce small series of work. My ceramic process include modeling and mold making.
